“Siri was open to experimenting – that was the wonderful thing. We often said to each other, ‘Let’s try this.’ That’s not a given. It would have confused other, more dogmatic cinemtographers. But Siri was willing to take risks, to trust the moment, to believe that what happens in front of the camera is right – even if it was unusual in the conventional documentary sense. Siri understood that it wasn’t about naturalism for me, but about the inner beauty and richness of our protagonists. She succeeded in making that visible, that inner glow.”

Synopsis
Thirteen young people tell us ‘their own stories’ – stories about which even their friends, their girlfriends, their parents or their teachers had little or no knowledge. Their testimonials give us a profound insight into their innermost thoughts. They also reveal each individual’s own music, an unmistakable sound that resonates deep within, a sound which we all feel but cannot name; a sound that emanates from the self.
Taking their cue from these young people’s stories, the images of this film visualize echoes of the way these youths see themselves and experience their bodies. This documentary contains neither commentary nor explanation, concentrating instead entirely on the intensity and vibrancy of the young protagonists themselves.
